hm3l3sen i wonder if some games (especially the ones released later) were produced for the cd model's american release. rdm22 i dont doubt that this game was made for the usa market. the saturn's name was intentionally slightly different so it couldnt be mistaken for the master system's and it meant master system couldnt be mistaken for master system master system. saturn itself was the biggest mistake of the 80s.

ido197 well, the most successful model ever is sd32. it had 2 cd-roms inside. but i'm affraid it was quite expensive and i don't know if it was supported in other countries. but for the huge mega cd's failure it was the only model that worked without problems on japanese mega cd's (at least for the functions).
vxnkc i heard rumours that somewhere around the mega cd era, sega were into pumping out a mega cd version of their psx games for an 'ultimate' collection. apparently though, they did this too late. it's baffling to me that many of these games still don't even have english language option, when clearly the whole point was to make them easily available to english speakers. to be honest, i think all of these suggestions are valid. i think it's up to both mks and md owners to decide what they're going to buy, but a lot of these suggestions could definitely be implemented as an official genesis addition.
cheesb the mega cd had a 32x slot in it. the 32x game never came out in the usa except for the laser light pro visions for the mega drive. rdm22 i dont know what youre talking about, seems you have forgotten that the 32x was a sort of extension of the mega cd. it had the same layout and 16mb of vram, but it also had 32x game support. the 32x games were actually limited to the 2 discs on the mega cd and some virtual disk support on the memory card.
